Frequently asked questions
From several weeks to several months, depending on the size and on how much has to be touched. What stretches a renovation is not the floor area but how much the layout changes: moving the kitchen or the bathrooms drags plumbing, wiring and drains along with it. We plan every phase before starting, so the timeline we give you is a real one.
In a full renovation, almost never: floors come up, walls are opened and the supplies are cut off. If the work can be done zone by zone, you can sometimes live in the part that is not being touched. We assess it with you before starting, because it shapes the order of the work.
In an older home things do come up: a beam in worse shape than expected, wiring that no longer meets code. We show it to you as soon as it appears, along with what it means for the timeline and the cost, and you decide. Since the team is ours from start to finish, the work does not stop waiting for a subcontractor to come back.
Yes. You will see the layout, the materials and the lighting on the real space before anyone starts work. That is the moment to move a wall or change a finish: in the 3D it costs nothing, once the work has started it does.
