Frequently asked questions
Between two weeks and a couple of months, depending on what gets touched. Two weeks is replacing units and finishes without moving plumbing or wiring; the two months appear when walls come down or the kitchen changes position, because that drags the services with it. Lead times on units and worktops matter too, so we pin those down with you before starting rather than discovering them mid-job.
If only the kitchen is being renovated, usually not: you can stay in the house, as long as you plan for being without a kitchen while the work lasts. If the kitchen is part of a wider renovation, we assess it with you beforehand and tell you which weeks to plan around.
Yes. Before touching anything we produce a 3D design of the actual space, so you can see the layout, the materials and the lighting. That is where you decide whether the kitchen opens up to the living room, where the island goes and how each finish looks: changing it in the 3D costs nothing, changing it once work has started does.
In many cases yes, but first we need to know whether the wall is load-bearing. If it is, it is not only a building question: it needs a technical project and a council permit, and we tell you that before you count on it. If it cannot be opened entirely, we look at alternatives such as a wide opening or an internal window. It is the change that transforms a kitchen most, and the same team carries it out from start to finish, without subcontracting to third parties.
